One of the biggest challenges facing the world today is waste. Vietnam currently ranks fourth globally for the largest volume of plastic waste produced. It is estimated that Vietnam produces 1.8 million tons of plastic waste yearly and only about one-fourth of that is recycled. Furthermore, low residual value plastics (styrofoam, plastic bags, food packaging) are more likely to leak into the waterways, and ultimately the ocean from areas without formal collection services and from illegal dumping activities. We aim to change that.
